Longing

 Longing-by-Marc-Rieu
when the night falls, and
darkness brings loneliness
he’s longing for her
and the way she smiled at him
when they were still together

Promised land

lake_of_longing___updated_by_folkvangar

When I first kissed your lips
You sent me straight to heaven
Now i’ve fallen; strayed back down
Not so very different
To what I thought I’d see up top
Same old me inside
I was shocked; still thanks a lot
This treasure chest is mine

I’ve told you once
I’ve told you twice
I’ve found my peace of mind
It’s the thousand other tiny pieces
That cut me up inside
I wish I could be light of heart
Maybe even peter pan
Then at least i’d fly away
To find my promised land
